We loved it our stay!

Amazing stay at Suni guesthouse. The lady running the house and her son are super accomodating. 100/100 recommend. The mattresses are comfy, the rooms are cosy and very clean, it is very quiet in the house and it feels like you’re staying with family. The bedsheets and the curtains had this super pretty embroidery on it which added a « homy » feel to our room. We forgot a couple of items in our room coz we were in a rush and they brought it to us all the way to subway despite a very snowy weather. We even had breakfast made especially for us at 6am one day as we were leaving early that day. We absolutely loved our stay.

Peaceful spot in a happening area!

The place is very beautiful and quiet but very close to lots of nighttime activities and the metro. It is immaculately clean. Suni and her family are so hospitable and her breakfasts are to die for. I loved the heated floors tho I got too hot. Thankfully the windows opened so I could cool the place down. The bathroom is tiny and the shower is between the sink and toilet. But the water is hot and has great water pressure. I had to leave early on my last day and Suni packed me a breakfast!

I knew I would be sleeping on the floor but that can be challenging. And the bathroom is very small. It was worth it for the hospitality and experience.

Beautiful hanok experience, exceptional host.

Suni's guesthouse is located in a beautiful heritage property in a popular university neighborhood of Seoul. It is well-connected by subway and buses and there are plenty of lively restaurants and bars nearby. The hanok itself is clean and beautifully maintained; one can really tell how much the owners care for the place. The breakfast every morning was tasty and a wonderful start to our days. Suni was always friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home immediately.

In the winters, it can get quite cold in Seoul, so using the outhouse bathroom can be a little uncomfortable.

Beautiful place to stay in!

I loved it! It was very clean and the house is beautiful and in a very good location. Suni and her family are all very open and lovely. I felt almost like a family friend The breakfast was awesome as well. And even tho it was very cold, the room was very warm and cozy ???? I definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Stay

Rooms and toilets were really clean. The space is small but it was a good experience staying jn a hanok. Homecooked food for breakfast was delicious!. Ms Suni was amazing and she walked us out in the extreme cold ( - 14 degrees in the morning) to CU to buy the subway cards and guided us to the nearest subway and advised us how to take the train. We will definitely stay over in this Guesthouse when we visit Seoul again.

Cosy and unique experience!

Wonderful experience living in a traditional hanok! We booked two rooms for our family of 4 and there was an adjoining living room in between for our exclusive use, so there was ample space for us and our luggage. Daily breakfast was thoughtfully presented, served in our living room at a time of our choice. The neighbourhood is lively with lots of food options late into the night. The owner Suni and her son are kind and patient with all our queries, always with a ready smile even late in the night.

Toilets were quite small and shower area within are not segregated so there isn’t sufficient dry area to place clothes etc.

Wonderful traditional Hanok house

Our stay at Hanok Guesthouse Suni was perfect. The house is beautiful, typical Korean. The location is also very good: near an underground station, close to a road with many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms are quiet, nicely furnished. The breakfast is very delicious. But the best was the host. She was so friendly and helpful. She speaks English very well, gave us a map, explained the sights to us. Then she came with us to the underground station to show us where to buy the tickets, which line to take, etc. Her help made our stay exceptional. We definitly would book it again. Thank you!

It was such a pleasant stay. We felt very welcome there. I would highly recommend staying here for those who are looking for a traditional and cozy stay in Seoul. The room was on a smaller side, but enough for a traveler. The futon beds were comfy, and we slept well there. We had our separate space and outside bathroom. The breakfast was lovely, tasty, and filling. The time was adapted to our preference to enjoy our meals in the traditional setting (outside the room but still private). There is a small kitchen and fridge for those who want to store something. The hosts are lovely and so warm-hearted. The location is good. The metro is close by. The student district is buzzing with shops, restaurants, and things to do. I would definitely come back!

Suni Kim Guesthouse is definitely the best place to stay in Seoul. The beautiful traditional Hanok, the delicious breakfast and most of all the warm-hearted kind and helpful Suni with her family made my first visit in Korea a very precious and memorable experience. I really recommend to try to stay in this hanok guesthouse and I will surely come again! Beside the place offers the perfect connection via subway or/and bus to all important sightseeing places but it’s at the same time a very quiet and relaxing accommodation.

I'm going back as soon as possible!

Our hosts spoke perfect English and were extremely kind and helpful with orientation, train tickets, reservations, covid tests... they made our stay so easy! Breakfasts were incredible as well. Neighborhood wonderful, nice walks, lovely places to eat or have coffee

I was wondering if I would sleep well on the futon but it was fine, and I got the second pillow I always enjoy when I asked. Still need to get used to Korean bathrooms so not to flood the place but this is the system and not particular to this hanok

Great experience of traditional housing and a very friendly welcome

Excellent oasis of peace in a busy and interesting neighbourhood. The talks with the landlady were really nice and informative. Nice and well prepared breakfast with a good variety.

Traditional housing is really small - but interesting to experience. You have to take care not to disturb other guests, as the wall are really thin (part of the traditional experience) so you are not as free as in a 'normal' hotel room.
